Our Story
Keeper of the Word was born out of a love for teaching God's Word. The living Word convicts, challenges, guides, inspires, upholds truth, moves us out of mediocrity, and calls us to holy living.
In the darkest days of our severest trials, it is the inspired Word of God that provides hope and assurance... There is nothing like God's living Word. Over the last 30 years, the Lord has provided opportunities to expand my knowledge of writing, Biblical studies, photography, and graphical art. I hope to use what He has taught me for His glory. Many of the devotionals include personal testimonies from me, my family, and friends as we have walked with the Lord on this journey. We have shared not only our lives but also our animal companions. God's creation and His creatures have taught us many tenets of the faith and spiritual lessons, which you find scattered throughout the devotionals, both written and graphic.
I hope you see God's holiness, glory, compassion, love, sufficiency, truth, and faithfulness in every word penned.

I have been teaching God's Word for over 30 years, through Women's Events, Life Groups, Bible Studies and College Ministries. My husband and I retired to Central Texas, where we have shared our home with many four-legged fur-children. My dogs have always been an inspiration and self-portrait of selfless devotion, loyalty, obedience, and adoration. I have tried to capture their lessons not only through my writing but through photography as well. You will also see our dogs, as well as pups, horses, cattle, and a variety of animals from family members and friends, featured in the devotionals and graphic renderings. I hope God speaks to you through the lessons and stories portrayed throughout the site.
